Selling

Listing is free. When your item sells, Fern keeps 6% of the item price and the rest is paid out to your bank ~2 working days after handover is confirmed.

Buying

A buyer-protection fee of 4% + 50p is added at checkout. It's what pays for your money being held safely until you confirm receipt — if the item isn't as described, you're not out of pocket.

Delivery

Collection is always free. Fern Delivery (two-person courier for big items) is priced at checkout, from £29.

A worked example

A £90 armchair, collected: the buyer pays £90 + £4.10 protection = £94.10. The seller receives £90 − £5.40 = £84.60. Fern earns £9.50 for holding the money safely, hosting the listing and handling the process end to end.
